- Qatar National Library aims to facilitate the broad use of works that are in the public domain or licensed to Qatar National Library. We are pleased to share digital items from our collections to strengthen ties and build bridges on a foundation of knowledge.
- Qatar National Library does not assert copyright claims to digital copies or other direct reproductions of works that we make from our collections, separate from or in addition to any copyright in the underlying work.
- Qatar National Library declares that we may be providing digital reproductions of certain images that are currently under copyright for the purpose of use requested by the requester. We would like to clarify that these images are provided as is, and QNL assumes no responsibility for any infringement of copyright laws by the requester in using the provided images.
- The requester acknowledges that he or she is responsible for obtaining the necessary permission to use the images and complying with all applicable copyright laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- By accepting and using the provided digital reproductions of the images, the requester agrees to release QNL and its employees from any and all liability, claims, and expenses arising from the requester's use of the images, including but not limited to any infringement of intellectual property rights.
- The requester also acknowledges that QNL has the right to discontinue the provision of digital reproductions at any time and for any reason.
By submitting a request for high-resolution image(s), and if the requested images are provided by QNL, the requestor agrees to the following:
- Permitted Use. Permission for reproduction is for one-time use only and is limited to the purposes specified in the request form. Any subsequent use or change in use from what is specified in the original request must be submitted to the QNL as a new request. Permission for reproduction is limited to the applicant and may not be reused on another project, assigned, or sold without the permission of the QNL.

Acknowledgement and Credits. The requestor agrees that all reproductions shall include the following credit line in the following format:
[Author name, Title of work, Year published, Item identifier], reproduced from the collection of Qatar National Library.
- Donation of Copy. The requestor agrees, where possible, to provide Qatar National Library with one copy of any print publication that includes a reproduction of the materials provided. For digital publications, the requestor agrees to provide a link to the publication or a copy of the publication (if copyright and license permits).
- Alteration of Materials. Unless approved by Qatar National Library or by the right owner in advance, the requestor agrees to maintain the integrity of the requested materials and not alter any provided images, including adding watermarks.
- Copyright and Third-Party Permissions. The requestor acknowledges and agrees that the QNL may not own the copyright in the requested materials and that any permission granted does not constitute a copyright license. The requestor agrees to assume all responsibility for securing permission from all rights holders as may be required for the requestor's intended use.
- Liability. The requestor agrees to indemnify and hold the QNL harmless from and against any cost, liability or expenses (including reasonable legal and professional fees) arising out of any legal action taken against the use of the requested materials.
